GWD Toyota Alexandra, a premier automotive service provider, sought to enhance their new workshop facilities with a high-performing, efficient, and compliant fluid control and air system. They partnered with Advanced Fluid Control (AFC), renowned for delivering customized fluid handling solutions in the automotive industry. AFC’s expertise in meticulous 3D design and integration was crucial to providing GWD with a seamless installation that supported both present and future operational needs.
The objectives for the project was to ensure efficient utilisation of space so the new GWD workshop maintained organized, accessible oil and air systems that did not impede workshop operations There was use of 3D design to coordinate the layout and installation of services,
To achieve these objectives, AFC deployed a series of specialized installations, each designed to optimize the workshop’s fluid and air handling capabilities. AFC used advanced 3D modeling to meticulously plan the installation, coordinating with GWD to ensure the layout was optimized. This process allowed GWD to visualize the placement of each system element before installation, facilitating a collaborative approach and minimizing on-site disruptions.
AFC installed self-bunded clean oil tanks to securely store oil, ensuring containment without needing additional bunding structures. Enclosed 10-meter oil reels were included, allowing for extended reach and ease of use while minimizing hose wear and tangling. These reels provide a reliable solution for delivering oil to workstations across the workshop. AFC integrated advanced digital meter guns, allowing precise oil measurement and dispensing. These tools contribute to accurate inventory control and reduce waste.
AFC installed a large-capacity, HSNCOP63-compliant waste oil tank, ensuring GWD’s waste oil management adhered to strict health, safety, and environmental standards. The waste oil tank was seamlessly connected to AFC’s Waste Oil Basin, creating a centralized and compliant system for collecting and disposing of waste oil.
AFC also completed the installation of an air system, supporting GWD’s pneumatic tools and equipment throughout the workshop. This system was engineered for efficient air delivery, reducing pressure drop and ensuring reliable performance.
The new oil and air systems streamline fluid handling across the workshop, reducing time spent on equipment management and providing technicians with convenient access to essential resources. The HSNCOP63-compliant waste oil tank and AFC’s Waste Oil Basin enhance environmental and safety compliance, reducing risk and protecting GWD from potential regulatory issues.
